Berner, the CEO of Cookies and a prolific rapper from the Bay Area, founded Grandiflora Genetics a few years ago and congratulated the company on Instagram. Berner visited Grandiflora’s facilities one day in 2018, and a partnership—along with many buds—grew.

According to Mark McAfferty, the founder of Grandiflora, Gumdropz, “It has to be one of the most exciting days in my life by far.” After our meeting, we began discussing forming a partnership. I didn’t understand it was happening for a few days, but I was ecstatic to proceed because I have always enjoyed Berner’s music. Grandiflora is an Oakland-based company that originated in the Bay Area and revolves around cannabis culture. Grandiflora develops rare and unique flavors.
